"DASTAK"- A Voice against atrocities on women

Must watch video - "DASTAK"-A Voice against atrocities on women.Performed by Asmita Theatre Group directed by Arvind Gaur.'DASTAK'- A street play that attempts to create awareness on increasing incidences of atrocities against women in our country.
The play highlights the heinous violence and harassment against women at working and public places. Why women in the national capital of India, New Delhi- a metro city, feel unsafe at public paces at all times of the day and night? Cutting across class, profession, they face continuous and different forms of sexual harassment in crowded as well as secluded places. Be it public transport, cars, markets, roads, public toilets, parks or any other place women always have to be on their guards. School and college students are most vulnerable to harassment and illicit behaviour, particularly rampant in public transport, like buses. The play is an attempt to raise awareness and sensitize people on atrocities
 against women.
